Cuando aportamos una idea, antes esta ha sido avalada por la comunidad de investigadores y los foros de discusión de mayor relieve. A continuación una lista de algunas de estas asociaciones, y una descripción de las mismas.


The Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) is the healthcare industry's membership organization exclusively focused on providing global leadership for the optimal use of healthcare information technology (IT) and management systems for the betterment of healthcare. Founded in 1961 with offices in Chicago, Washington D.C., Brussels, and other locations across the United States and Europe, HIMSS represents more than 20,000 individual members and over 300 corporate members that collectively represent organizations employing millions of people. HIMSS frames and leads healthcare public policy and industry practices through its advocacy, educational and professional development initiatives designed to promote information and management systems’ contributions to ensuring quality patient care.


The American Medical Informatics Association is the premier organization in the United States dedicated to the development and application of biomedical and health informatics in the support of patient care, teaching, research, and health care administration. AMIA was founded in 1990 through the merger of three existing health informatics associations. Since that time, AMIA has grown to more than 3,000 members from 42 countries worldwide. Together, these members represent all basic, applied, and clinical interests in health care information technology.


The American Telemedicine Association is the leading resource and advocate promoting access to medical care for consumers and health professionals via telecommunications technology. ATA seeks to bring together diverse groups from traditional medicine, academic medical centers, technology and telecommunications companies, e-health, medical societies, government and others to overcome barriers to the advancement of telemedicine through the professional, ethical and equitable improvement in health care delivery. Established in 1993 as a non-profit organization and headquartered in Washington, DC, membership in the Association is open to individuals, companies and other organizations with an interest in promoting the deployment of telemedicine throughout the world.

The ISfTeH exists to facilitate the international dissemination of knowledge and experience in Telemedicine and eHealth and to provide access to recognized experts in the field worldwide


La Sociedad Española de Informática de la Salud es una sociedad científica, no lucrativa, compuesta por más de quinientos profesionales técnicos o sanitarios con interés en mejorar y promover el uso de las Tecnologías de la Información y las Comunicaciones en el entorno sanitario. De este modo se constituye como foro de participación común tanto para profesionales de informática, medicina, enfermería, farmacia, veterinaria, psicología y el resto de Ciencias de la Salud, así como para estudiantes de las carreras afines.


The Society for the Advancement of Blood Management (SABM) is a growing, exciting society dedicated to improving patient outcomes through optimal blood management. This includes the appropriate provision and use of blood and blood products, and strategies to reduce or avoid transfusion. SABM is committed to excellence and is a leader in the field of blood management. SABM is grounded in scientific validation, evidence-based practices and focused on promoting the patients' best interest through effective and optimal blood management. We promote education and training to achieve change through a multidisciplinary approach to blood management and utilization. Our members recognize the benefits of effective blood management. SABM's goal is to work toward incorporating blood management modalities into clinical practice and help the public and medical communities to embrace the benefits of simple, safe and effective blood management practices.

 
NATA is the Network for Advancement of Transfusion Alternatives. It is an international network of medical practitioners, researchers, and opinion leaders from a wide variety of medical and scientific disciplines who are dedicated to helping their peers learn more about recent advances in blood conservation and transfusion alternatives.
